Lifespan and Adult Religious Exploration

Several adults and children sit at a round table in the Parish Hall coloring and assembling crafts.Adults of all ages have multi-generational and generation-specific opportunities for religious exploration. These include:

All8 Arts Workshop: Once a month between October through May for two hours, youth in 7th grade and older together with adults are invited to participate in an exploration of all eight UU principles through photography, creative writing, fine art, collage, digital art, and sculpting. Members of our Racial Justice Ministry team will be facilitating this program.

Soul Matters Small Group Ministry: Small Group Ministries are starting back up, and we will be using a new program called Soul Matters that follows our monthly worship themes and allow the small groups to reflect more deeply on those themes. You can learn more about the approach here. For those that are new to all things Small Group Ministries, this is an opportunity for two facilitators and six to eight others to gather together in an intimate setting with a shared covenant.

Spirit Spark: We will offer four workshops for youth and adults after worship next year that explores the theme of the month through spoken word and poetry under the direction of Regie O’Hare Gibson, a member of First Parish in Lexington and a world renowned spoken word artist and poet.

You might also visit our various affinity group pages to learn more about our adult congregation, such as our Over 60s Group, Plant-Based Eating Club, and more. These groups offer more opportunities to learn and grow together with those who have similar interests or at a similar life stage.
