The Hanukkah Party is so much fun for all ages and stages, a great opportunity for newcomers and members to meet one another, and a special chance to observe one of the many holidays that your fellow members of this community celebrate.
We will have pizza, latkes, and doughnuts. We are planning a latke bake-off, so if you have any interesting latke variations that you want to share with the community, you can bring them with you – there will be plenty of latkes to go around. I will personally be bringing the variation that has been in my family for generations – that comes from Spain. (They are called “Keftes De Prasa.”) Or, maybe I will bring a sweet potato and sage variation.
We’ll have plenty of time to play dreidels and sing songs, and our menorah lighting will take place at 6:30. We’ll recall the story of Chanukah and have a dreidel hunt.
