Religious Exploration

A woman with white hair wearing a purple sweater sits patiently as a child wearing a black shirt paints her face.Religious Exploration at First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton provides people of all ages and stages an opportunity to learn and grow together. While some programs are age specific, others bring together different generations where the youngest to the oldest to the youngest again will explore who they are and what they believe.

We strive to incorporate social justice activities, multi-faith worship opportunities, service trips, fellowship, and fun into our programs for all ages. Our paid high school youth together with other members of the congregation and parents are our primary leaders and, for those folks, teaching can be a very fulfilling way to deepen one’s own faith, too.

The 2023-2024 Children and Youth Registration and Volunteer Teacher Registration is open. Want suggestions for what to teach? Check out our Volunteer Teacher page. Contact Devin Shmueli, our Director of Family and Community Ministries, if you need more information.
