The Adult Education Committee is and active group with eight members. Highlights of the 2010 – 2011 year include several events co-sponsored with Food Matters at FUSN, Project Zambia, Immigration, and Social Action committees. We also co–sponsored a number of varied programs with Food Matters throughout the year. (More information on details is available in individual committee reports.) This year, additionally, we began a lending library (available at Coffee Hour) with books on:

  • Unitarian-Universalism
  • World Religions
  • Death & Dying
  • Food Matters
  • Islam / Middle East
  • Peacemaking
  • Poetry
  • Science
  • Miscellaneous

We have also been developing and refining organizational strategies for catalog development and production. Over the course of the year, we have offered the following courses, workshops, and discussions:

  • *American Unitarian Composers
  • *Art of Recovery: Collage and Poetry
  • Asking the Questions
  • Bible Study group
  • *Credo Writing
  • *Crones

We are committed to maintaining the quality and diversity of our course offerings. We will continue to offer many of the courses listed above, including Erin Splaine’s popular Identity. We plan to collaborate again with the Food Matters, Project Zambia, Immigration, and Social Action committees on special offerings. Watch for the catalog in September.
